Sahar Latheef is a doctoral candidate at the Department of International Relations, Australian National University. Her research explores the ethical issues involved in using human enhancement applications in the military, focusing on cognitive enhancements and neurotechnology. Her research interests are in ethics of emerging military technologies. She has extensive academic qualifications consisting of four masters degrees in; biomedical engineering, international security studies and counter terrorism, and national security policy. Sahar has worked in the Australian Public Service for eight years and currently works at the Department of Defence.
