Nur Azizah
Nur Azizah started her Ph.D at the Dept. of Political and Social Change in 2019. Her thesis topic is on the politics of waste management in Indonesian urban context, in which she chose two cities, Yogyakarta and Surabaya City. In this research, she investigates the interlinkage between formality and informality in solving waste problems in those cities. Broadly, her research interest includes local politics, decentralization, urban governance and informality.
Prior to her study, she was a lecturer at the Dept. of Politics & Government Studies, Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia. She completed her degrees at the Dept. of Politics & Government Studies, Gadjah Mada University (Bachelor degree) and the Institute of Housing and Urban Development Studies, Erasmus University, the Netherlands (Master degree).
