Hanh Nguyen is a Ph.D. Scholar at the Strategic and Defence Studies Centre, Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs, the Australian National University. Her research interests include economic-security nexus, Southeast Asia’s relations with great powers, and Vietnam’s foreign policy. She is a former non-resident WSD-Handa fellow at Pacific Forum and currently a Research Fellow at Yokosuka Council on Asia-Pacific Studies (YCAPS). She is the author of “Vietnam and the shift towards maritime security cooperation” (in Maritime Cooperation and Security in the Indo-Pacific Region: Essays in Honour of Sam Bateman, 2023) and the co-author of “Asymmetric interdependence and the selective diversification of supply chains” (Journal of Contemporary Eastern Asia, 2022, with Stephen R. Nagy). Her research has been funded by the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP).
