Jessie joined DPA in July 2023 as the Department Manager. Prior to this, she worked at The University of the South Pacific (USP) from 2013 until 2022 in varying academic roles as Lecturer and Online Course Coordinator as well as management roles as Deputy Head of School, School of Law (Faculty of Arts, Law and Education) and Acting Law Discipline Coordinator (School of Law and Social Sciences). Jessie taught at Bond University and in addition held casual research positions with Bond University and Curtin University. Aside from academia, Jessie worked in risk management in the banking sector and held senior management roles as Studio Manager/Operations Consultant in the advertising and marketing industry in Zimbabwe.

Jessie holds undergraduate and postgraduate awards from Bond University: Bachelor of Laws degree, Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Master of Laws by Research and Doctor of Philosophy.
