SINU Vice Chancellor Dr Transform Aqorau visits DPA

Vice Chancellor of Solomon Islands National University Dr Transform Aqorau visited the Department of Pacific Affairs at The Australian National University today to discuss ongoing research collaboration between the two national universities.

In a "tok stori", or informal roundtable with staff and students, VC Aqorau outlined his thoughts on how tertiary education can improve governance and development outcomes across the Solomon Islands. The wide-ranging discussion also included economic and social ties between Australia and Solomon Islands, the upcoming Solomon election, and need for research innovation to meet Pacific development challenges.
