Roundtable Meeting with DPA and a Solomon Islands delegation

The Department of Pacific Affairs hosted a roundtable discussion today with a delegation of senior journalists and media officials from Solomon Islands, chaired by Professor Meg Keen, Academic Lead, Pacific Research Program.

Topics discussed included aid and geopolitics, elections and democracy, relations between The Australian National University and Solomon Islands National University and gender and social inclusion. Researchers and journalists meeting face to face at the roundtable was a valuable networking opportunity and follow up discussions will continue on topics of interest.
