3D printing of Australian Pollen

3D Spores

Thanks to a ANU Teaching and Education Grant led by Janelle Stevenson we now have our first 3D prints of Australian pollen types.  These hand held models are printed at 1,000 times their actual size and are great new resource for under-graduate teaching and community engagement. Big thanks to all the hard work done by Tuukka Kaikkonen, ANH PhD student and RA employed on this project, who tackled the con-focal microscopy, the amazing rendering software Drishti and then printed them in the fantastic free facility here at ANU MakerSpace. More to come!
